■ 概要

NAPTIFY Remote は、自宅の PC で動く naptify-client をスマホから操作し、PC のファイルの動画・音楽を再生する Android アプリです。
スマホは OpenNap のサーバーへ直接接続しません。操作はすべて PC の naptify-client を通して行います。

スマホ: Android 7.0 以上（arm64）
  Galaxy Z Fold7（Android 17）で動作を確認しています。
PC: naptify-client 1.3.98 以上を推奨します。それより古いバージョンでは、一部の機能が使えません。
  PC の naptify-client が古すぎるときは、「PC の naptify-client を更新してください」と表示します。

■ インストール

1. naptify-remote-1.0.3-android-arm64.apk をスマホにコピーするか、スマホでダウンロードします。
2. ファイルを開いてインストールします。
   初回は、APK を開くアプリ（ブラウザー・ファイル管理など）に、提供元不明のアプリのインストールの許可が必要です
   （Android 8.0 以降は「不明なアプリのインストール」、Android 7.x は「提供元不明のアプリ」）。
3. 新しいバージョンは、同じ手順で上書きでインストールします。ペアリングした PC などのデータはそのまま残ります。

初めて QR コードを読み取るときにカメラの許可を、通知を使うときに通知の許可（Android 13 以降）を求めます。


■ PC の準備とペアリング

1. PC の naptify-client の設定の「リモート」で、「リモートの使用」をオンにします。
2. 「端末を追加」を押すと、QR コードが表示されます（待ち受け中のときだけ。表示には時間の制限があります）。
3. スマホの NAPTIFY Remote の「PC を追加」で、その QR コードを読み取ります。
4. 追加した PC は一覧に表示されます。押すと接続します。

複数の PC を追加し、一覧から選んで使い分けられます。
PC がスリープ中は接続できません。
Windows で初めて待ち受けたときに、ファイアウォールの許可の確認が表示されます。許可しないと、スマホから接続できません。
端末の一覧と取り消しは、PC の naptify-client の設定の「リモート」で行います。取り消すと、その端末は接続できなくなります。

スマホと PC の間は、暗号化通信（TLS）です。スマホは、QR コードで受け取った PC の証明書の指紋と照合してから接続します。


■ 外出先から

外出先からは、次のどちらかで接続します。

  ポート開放
      PC の naptify-client のデータポート（転送と同じポート）が外部から接続できるときに使えます。
      開放するのはデータポートだけです。開放と確認は、PC の naptify-client の設定の「転送」→「ポート」で行います。
  VPN（Tailscale など）
      ポートを開放できない回線（CGNAT・DS-Lite など）のときに使います。PC とスマホの両方で VPN に接続します。

PC の IP アドレスが変わったときは、PC が新しいアドレスを暗号化して、通知と同じ仕組み（下の「通知」）でスマホへ届けます。
アドレスを受け取るには、ペアリングした PC ごとに、一度スマホから接続しておく必要があります。
アドレスは DNS に登録しません。


■ 主な機能

  ライブラリ        PC の共有ファイルと保存先フォルダー（ダウンロード中のファイルを含む）の一覧
  再生              動画と音楽。シーク、音声・字幕の切り替え、続きから再生
                    音楽は画面を消しても再生を続け、ロック画面・通知で操作できます
  歌詞              音楽の再生画面の歌詞のボタンで表示
  圧縮ファイル      ZIP・RAR の中をフォルダーと同じように表示・再生
  画像・テキスト    画像とテキストファイルをその場で全画面表示
  端末に保存        動画・音楽をスマホに保存し、PC に接続していなくても再生
  ダウンロード      動画・音楽以外のファイルを、スマホの「ダウンロード」フォルダーに保存（Android 10 以降）
  転送・検索        ダウンロード・アップロードの一覧、検索とダウンロードの開始
  チャンネル・IM    チャンネルの発言と参加者、IM

RealVideo は再生できません。
設定・共有設定・サーバーの登録の変更は、PC の naptify-client でだけ行えます。


■ 通知

IM・ダウンロードの要求（相手から）・ダウンロード完了・キーワードを、スマホに通知します。
受け取る種類は、PC の一覧の各 PC の歯車（PC の設定）→「通知」で、PC ごとに選びます（既定はすべてオン）。PC の naptify-client の通知の設定とは別です。

通知には Google の Firebase Cloud Messaging（FCM）を使います。
PC は naptify.net の中継を通して、スマホへ合図だけを送ります。中継は届けるだけで、何も保存しません。
スマホは合図を受けると PC に接続して内容を読み、通知を表示します。PC に接続できないときは「新しい知らせがあります」とだけ表示します。
Google Play 開発者サービスの無い端末では、通知は使えません。


■ 外部との通信

PC との通信のほかに、次の通信を行います。

  FCM・naptify.net の中継   通知の合図と、暗号化したアドレスの受け取り（上の「通知」「外出先から」）
  LRCLIB                    歌詞のボタンを押したときだけ、曲名・フォルダーの名前・曲の長さを送って歌詞を探します

歌詞は保存しません。見つけた歌詞は、アプリの動作中だけメモリに保持します。


■ データの置き場

データはアプリの領域に保存されます。

  ペアリングした PC の一覧・設定・プレイリスト・再生位置など
  端末に保存した動画・音楽（ギャラリーには表示されません）

PC への接続に使う鍵は、Android の安全な保管場所（Android Keystore）に保存します。

「ダウンロード」フォルダーに保存したファイルは、Download/NAPTIFY に置かれます。


■ アンインストール

1. Android の設定のアプリの一覧から、NAPTIFY Remote をアンインストールします。
   アプリの領域のデータ（ペアリングした PC・端末に保存した動画・音楽）も削除されます。
2. 「ダウンロード」フォルダーに保存したファイル（Download/NAPTIFY）は残ります。不要なら削除します。
3. PC の naptify-client の設定の「リモート」で、その端末を取り消します。

■ Overview

NAPTIFY Remote is an Android app that controls naptify-client running on your home PC from your phone, and plays videos and music from the PC's files.
The phone does not connect to OpenNap servers directly. All operations go through naptify-client on the PC.


■ Version and platform

■ System requirements

Phone: Android 7.0 or later (arm64)
  Tested on Galaxy Z Fold7 (Android 17).
PC: naptify-client 1.3.98 or later is recommended. Some features are not available with older versions.
  If naptify-client on the PC is too old, the app shows "Please update naptify-client on the PC".

■ Installing

1. Copy naptify-remote-1.0.3-android-arm64.apk to your phone, or download it on your phone.
2. Open the file to install it.
   The first time, the app that opens the APK (a browser, a file manager, etc.) needs permission to install apps from unknown sources
   (Android 8.0 or later: "Install unknown apps"; Android 7.x: "Unknown sources").
3. To update, install a new version the same way over the old one. Your paired PCs and other data are kept.

The app asks for camera permission the first time you scan a QR code, and for notification permission (Android 13 or later) when you use notifications.


■ Preparing the PC and pairing

1. In naptify-client on the PC, open Settings → Remote and turn on "Use remote".
2. Press "Add device" to show a QR code (only while listening; the QR code is shown for a limited time).
3. In NAPTIFY Remote on the phone, press "Add PC" and scan the QR code.
4. The PC appears in the list. Tap it to connect.

You can add several PCs and choose one from the list.
The phone cannot connect while the PC is asleep.
On Windows, a firewall prompt appears the first time the client starts listening. If you do not allow it, the phone cannot connect.
You can see and revoke devices in Settings → Remote in naptify-client on the PC. A revoked device can no longer connect.

The connection between the phone and the PC is encrypted (TLS). The phone checks the PC's certificate fingerprint received in the QR code before connecting.


■ Away from home

Away from home, connect in one of these ways:

  Port forwarding
      Available when the data port of naptify-client on the PC (the same port used for transfers) can be reached from outside.
      Only the data port needs to be opened. Open and check it in Settings → Transfer → Port in naptify-client on the PC.
  VPN (Tailscale, etc.)
      Use this when your line cannot open ports (CGNAT, DS-Lite, etc.). Connect both the PC and the phone to the VPN.

When the PC's IP address changes, the PC encrypts the new address and sends it to the phone through the same mechanism as notifications (see "Notifications" below).
To receive addresses, the phone needs to have connected to each paired PC at least once.
Addresses are not registered in DNS.


■ Main features

  Library            Shared files and the download folder on the PC (including files being downloaded)

  Save to device     Save videos and music to the phone and play them without connecting to the PC
  Downloads          Save files other than videos and music to the phone's Download folder (Android 10 or later)
  Transfers, search  Download and upload lists, search and starting downloads
  Channels, IM       Channel messages and members, IM

RealVideo cannot be played.
Settings, share settings and server registration can be changed only in naptify-client on the PC.


■ Notifications

The phone notifies you of IMs, download requests (from others), completed downloads and keywords.
Choose which ones to receive for each PC with the gear on that PC in the PC list (PC settings) → Notifications (all on by default). This is separate from the notification settings of naptify-client on the PC.

Notifications use Google's Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM).
The PC sends only a signal to the phone through a relay on naptify.net. The relay only delivers it and stores nothing.
On receiving the signal, the phone connects to the PC, reads the content and shows the notification. If it cannot connect to the PC, it shows only "You have new notices".
Notifications are not available on devices without Google Play services.


■ External connections

Besides the connection to the PC, the app makes these connections:

  FCM and the naptify.net relay   Receiving notification signals and encrypted addresses (see "Notifications" and "Away from home" above)
  LRCLIB                          Only when you press the lyrics button: sends the track title, folder names and track length to search for lyrics

Lyrics are not stored. Lyrics found are kept in memory only while the app is running.


■ Where your data is stored

Data is stored in the app's own storage.

  Paired PCs, settings, playlists, playback positions and similar data
  Videos and music saved to the device (not shown in the gallery)

The keys used to connect to PCs are stored in Android's secure storage (Android Keystore).

Files saved to the Download folder are placed in Download/NAPTIFY.


■ Uninstalling

1. Uninstall NAPTIFY Remote from the app list in Android's settings.
   The data in the app's storage (paired PCs, videos and music saved to the device) is deleted too.
2. Files saved to the Download folder (Download/NAPTIFY) are kept. Delete them if you no longer need them.
3. In naptify-client on the PC, revoke the device in Settings → Remote.
